The problem
The backyard of this Staten Island home was bare dirt with nowhere for rainwater to go.
What we did
- Dug a drainage pit and built a block drain basin
- Graded the yard and prepared the base
- Set Jerusalem stone on a mortar bed across the backyard
- Finished the planting beds with a stone border
The result
A full Jerusalem stone patio from the porch steps to the back fence, with drainage built in under it.
