The problem
The sidewalk along this corner property in Gravesend was cracked and uneven, with broken flags along the fence line and at the corner.
What we did
- Broke out and removed the old concrete along the full frontage and corner
- Set wooden forms to the new grade and pitch
- Laid wire mesh reinforcement inside the forms
- Poured and finished new concrete, with control joints between flags
- Taped off the sidewalk while the concrete cured
The result
A continuous new concrete sidewalk along the whole frontage and corner, flat and even at the fence line.
